Spring has sprung and it's time to "get back in the saddle"!  We have an ambitious, interesting and varied bicycling programme planned for 2025.

We’ll begin with several short rides to get in shape and reacclimate our muscles as we gradually increase the length of our rides. 

All ride descriptions include trail length (out and back), location, paved or unpaved and notes   

Our first bike ride will be the Methuen Rail Trail on Tuesday March 11th at 10:00am  This is approx ½ hour long  This is a pretty rail trail that passes a large heron rookery, Nevins MSPCA farm, poets wall and Methuen's former rail depot

Methuen Rail Trail 4.5 miles  Paved trail.  Park and meet at parking lot 9 Hampshire Rd. Salem NH opposite CVS and a storage warehouse  

Look for the orange Subaru CrossTrek.  And dress accordingly!  Temps are supposed to be in low 60s but shade will make it feel cooler.

And for anyone interested we can drive to Salem NH afterwards for an additional paved rail trail ride of approx 8 miles round trip to Windham NH junction or even continue onwards to Derry NH.

Helmets are required. Tail light or blinker recommended.  Also, bring a spare tube and a water bottle.
