Join Chris and Meredith on a walk through Great Brook State Park and into Chelmsford’s Thanksgiving Forest.  The walk is approximately 2.5 miles in length.  We will start at the Great Brook Farm parking area in Carlisle, Ma.  The walk is mostly wooded with gravel/dirt paths and occasional rocks and roots.  There are some minor inclines.  Be aware at this time of year the paths will be leaf covered and could be slippery especially if wet. Appropriate hiking shoes or sneakers, walking sticks if you need them and as always some water.

Bring a bag lunch for after the walk.  There is a nice sandwich shop, Ferns, at the Carlisle rotary at the intersection of Rt 225 and Lowell st. It is only about a 2 mile drive from Great Brook and is open in the morning.

There  are rest rooms at the parking area as well as some picnic tables.
