Once again we have an ambitious, interesting and varied bicycling programme planned for 2025. 

We’ll begin with several short rides to get in shape and reacclimate our muscles as we gradually increase the length of our rides. 

Our second ride of 2025 is on Independence Greenway (West) 167 Russell St. Peabody Approx. 6 miles  Paved.  Some frost heaves. 

The forecast is for temps in the high 50s or low 60s for this ride. 

Meet at 167 Russell St. parking lot   If there are no parking spaces in the lot please park on nearby side street Glen Drive, 1st left after the bike trail  This portion of the trail is very scenic as it passes woods, an active quarry and a pond before ending at a municipal park.

For anyone interested after this ride we will proceed to Independence Greenway (East) Peabody Approx. 4 miles, 25 minutes  Paved.  Some frost heaves. Meet at end of 1 Essex Center Drive just past Lahey Medical Center parking lot.

Helmets are required. Tail light or blinker recommended.  Also, bring a spare tube and a water bottle.
