Maudsley State Park is along the Merrimack River. I am hopeful that the timing will let us enjoy the azaleas, Rhododendrons and possibly some Mountain Laurels in bloom. This will be a 3-4 mile walk (level 2). Well defined gravel and woodchip covered trails with some roots and rocks. Relatively flat with a few inclines. This area is mostly tree covered with a lovely field at the end.
Hiking shoes and possibly poles for those that need them.
Bring a water bottle and bug spray.
There are restrooms on site, however when I was there recently they weren’t open.
This is a Mass State Park so bring your parking pass if you have one. Otherwise there is a fee of $5 for Mass residents and $20 for non-Mass license plates.
Leashed well behaved dogs are welcome in the Park.
There will be an opportunity for lunch In Newburyport after.
Heavy rain cancels.
RAIN DATE June 5.
