One of the most scenic rail trails in New England, the Clipper City Rail Trail begins along the Parker River, skirts downtown Newburyport and continues southward along a smooth paved trail with multiple sculptures and art works. There is a short on road portion.  The trail is about 6 miles in length and the ride is 30-45 minutes long.

There is free and plentiful parking at Cashman Park.  Sally Snyder Way is a short, narrow street off Merrimack St.

Helmets are required. Tail light or blinker recommended.  Also, bring a spare tube and a water bottle.
