Joe M. and Mary W. will walk in Newburyport from Parker Street lot, into downtown for three to four miles round trip.
We will meet at the small parking lot on Parker St on the left, across from the farm (which sells cheese) at 10:30 AM. Since Mary's bike is in the shop, so we will walk the trail and if we are pain free and ambitious enough, make a loop and come back to our cars along the trail which follows route 1.
We start @10:30 AM.
You must wear a mask, maintain proper social distancing by respecting peoples space. Bring water, snacks, and lunch, you are welcome to buy a lunch in town if you desire.
Entire trail is paved with spots to sit and rest, ponder art, water, history, and have lunch.
Parking lot is very small so it may be best to try to carpool. Attendance is limited to 12 walkers including leaders. A walking stick may be helpful for some, but the trail is pretty flat.
Directions: Take Newburyport turnpike (route 1) to traffic circle. At the circle take the 3rd exit to State Street, then turn right onto Parker St and follow to parking lot on left at 0.3 miles.
