Our Western destination for 2020 is Aspen/Snowmass, Aspen, Colorado. There are four incredible mountains, skiable on one lift ticket with free bus transportation that runs frequently between all four. We will be staying at Snowmass which offers a wide variety of terrain (groomers, open glades, bumps and steeps) for all levels of skiers: 5% is rated easiest (green); 48% is more difficult (intermediate/blue); 17% most difficult (black) and 30% expert (double black). Base elevation is 8608 feet; summit elevation is 12,000 feet. The new Base Village has an interesting cross-section of additional sports and cultural activities. The other three mountains are Aspen Mountain with very diverse terrain for intermediates (48%) and experts; Aspen Highlands (23% intermediate, but is more challenging with extensive expert terrain and bowl skiing); and Buttermilk (mostly beginner friendly (35%) and intermediate (39%) terrain. All are within 3-9 miles of Snowmass and are serviced by free shuttles day and night. Free Ambassador tours are offered at all 4 mountains. There are 8 ski and snowboard rental shops collectively located at the base of all 4 mountains and all offer free overnight storage and transfer between the 4 areas.

17 double occupancy rooms have been reserved at the Snowmass Mountain Chalet, a ski-in ski-out lodge located directly on Fanny Hill (a green run 500 feet down to the lift) and adjacent to the Village Mall and above the new Base Village. There are many shops and restaurants on the Village Mall and also in the Base Village. The Lodge has a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, free wireless internet, daily maid service, gym, sauna and coin-op laundry service as well as on-site ski lockers. All rooms are double occupancy and contain mini refrigerators, coffee makers and hair dryers. There is a common microwave for all guests to use. A hot breakfast and a soup lunch are included in our package. Also included in the package is round trip air on United flying direct from Boston to Denver and charter bus transportation from Denver Airport to Snowmass.

Package price for the land portion (lodging, bus transfer, baggage handling, all taxes and gratuities) is $1920.00. United Air is $409.00. A 5 day Senior (65+) lift ticket is $272.00. Adult 5 day lift ticket is $379.00. IKON pass holders will have the choice to opt out for ski tickets (Senior and Adult). Single supplement (additional cost to buy out hotel room without a roommate) is $1705.00.
