Join us for a narrated tour spotlighting the history, mysteries & scandals of the North Shore's famous Gold Coast, as we head out to Misery Island, off Manchester-by-the-Sea. The tour leaves from 10 Blaney St., Salem, MA at noon. There is limited free parking in this lot. We'll get off the boat at the island and tour it for one hour and forty-five minutes. You can hike more than two miles of trails that lead you through the forest, small meadows and the rocky shores to spectacular overlooks and beaches. The boat will pick us back up to continue our narrated tour and will drop us back off at the dock at 4 PM. For those who are interested, we can get something to eat and share stories at Brothers Taverna on New Derby St. Wear comfortable rubber-soled shoes or sneakers and bring a light sweater or jacket, even if it's a warm day. Also, bring water, and sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are recommended. Don't forget your camera +/or binoculars.
This is a courtesy (no charge for TOHG members) trip offered by the company and priority will be given to those who had registered for the trip in July that got cancelled. If you are in that group, you must sign up immediately as this is a very popular trip.
We will meet at the dock at 11:45am
