Join us on Saturday, June 30th for a 6-mile round-trip walk to Castle Island on the Harbor Walk.  We will meet at 10:30 at the JFK/UMass MBTA station in Dorchester (Red Line) inside the station at the upper level gates.  After walking 3 miles, it's possible for those wishing to shorten the walk.  (Ask about this to obtain a schedule for time & place to pick up the bus back to the Red Line.)  We plan to stop at Sullivan's takeout for hot dogs, lobster rolls, etc. and to spend time walking around Fort Independence.  There are free guided tours every half hour.  Be sure to bring a jacket no matter how warm it is that morning, use sunscreen, wear a hat and bring enough water.  There are restrooms near the restaurant but probably not along the Harbor Walk.  Seating for lunch is outdoors only.  Feel free to bring your own lunch if you don't want to eat at Castle Island's iconic restaurant.
