Our Western destination for 2018 is Alta, Utah. Located in the Uninta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Alta is known for its abundant snowfall, especially in March and April. 500+ inches of Utah powder falls yearly on Alta, making it #1 snowfall In the West. Altitude is moderate with a base at 8530 feet and the top at 10,550 feet. Alta has 25% green (novice) trails, 40% blue (intermediate) trails and 35% black (expert) trails. The adjacent (and connecting) area of Snowbird is predominantly advanced terrain. Alta is a skier's mountain: no snow boarders are allowed. Snowbird does allow snow boarders.
17 twin bedded rooms, each with a private bath, have been reserved at the Peruvian Lodge, located a short distance from the main lifts. A courtesy shuttle which runs all day and into the evening easily transports skiers to and from the Lodge to the main base area. There is a heated outside pool, 2 hot tubs, sauna (towels and robes provided), wireless internet, game room, large fireplaced lobby with games and puzzles, nightly movies. on large screen TV, apres ski snacks, 24 hour coffee, etc. 3 meals a day are included in our package: a hot breakfast, lunch and evening dinner. Box lunches will be provided if you don't wish to eat lunch back at the Lodge.
Included in the package is round trip air on United: Boston to Salt Lake and return,each with onestop (Chicago going out and San Francisco on the return-please remember, group flights are subject to change several times before departure in March), chartered bus round trip to and from airport to lodge, 7 nights at the Peruvian, all baggage handling, all gratuities and taxes, 5 of 6 day Alta lift ticket with option to add a 6 day and another option to buy a combined Alta/Snowbird dual ticket (price has not yet been set for 6th day or dual ticket). Over 80 years of age ski free at Alta.
A Welcome Party with wine and cheese will be held upon arrival and is included also.
Total package price is $2395.00 per person. Initial deposit of $700.00 must be received by September 10 to reserve your space. A second payment of $500.00 is required by October 10, 3rd payment of $500.00 is required by November 10 and a final adjusted payment will be required by December 10. Deposits will be accepted now.
