About 35 enthusiastic Gang members gathered at Tom and Cindy’s Newbury, NH home for a day of outdoor adventures. Some toured the gardens and trails of the historic John Hay Estate while several other hardy souls ascended Mt Sunapee. A few spent time exploring the quintessential town of New London and hopefully, everyone made it to the top of the “hill” for a view of the lake and mountains.
Around 4:00, members returned for a terrific pot luck supper and lots of happy chatter. Most headed home after dinner, but 8 opted to join Tom and Cindy for an overnight. There were games, conversations and one last trip up the hill for the full moon. It was magical…a beautiful fall day in the lakes region of New Hampshire!
The next day was a bit drizzly, but Gang members found time for one more hike. As people were leaving, it seemed unanimous that a repeat would be popular, but perhaps on a week-end so that the chairlift and lake cruises would be open. Sounds like a plan!
