It looks like we chose the best day of the week for our bike ride from NARA Park in Acton to Chelmsford Centre, about 16 miles round trip. Although it was hot the humidity was down and most of the trail ride was in shade.
We stopped at Heart Pond in the Westford/Chelmsford line and may have felt a bit of envy as a number of people were in the water cooling off.
On our way back from Chelmsford we came across another bicyclist trying to single handedly remove a very large tree limb that had fallen and was blocking most of the trail. Several of us jumped in to help and then continued on to join everyone at the picnic.
