Six TOHG members met up to take a tour of Louisa May Alcott’s house in Concord, MA. It was a beautiful sunny day and the lilacs were in blossom at the front entrance of the house. The tour was very interesting and since we were all familiar with “Little Women”, from having ready the book or seen one of the movies, we were able to picture the family in our minds as we went through the rooms. The rooms were quite large, considering the time period, and they were filled with 80% of the original furnishings.
We followed up with a lunch of soups and sandwiches at Trail’s End Café, where we enjoyed the bright sunny dining room at a table for six.
